GTI Consortium Symposium 2023 <February 28 (Wed), 2024>

Thursday February 8th, 2024

Since its inception in December 2015, the GTI Consortium has promoted international industry-academia-government collaboration. We currently have the support of 9 government administrations, 46 national and international universities, and 187 industry members.

The GTI Consortium Symposium is usually held in December, but this year it will be held in February 2024 in conjunction with the 18th SOUTH EAST ASIAN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY CONSORTIUM SYMPOSIUM at the Shibaura Institute of Technology, where the secretariat is located. In addition, the fiscal year 2023 will be the final year of the national project "Top Global University Program" adopted by the University. To sum up, the SGU Symposium will be held before the GTI Consortium Symposium 2023. Please check the attached document for details.

Regarding GTI consortium Symposium 2023, it will feature keynote speeches and case study reports under the theme of "Initiatives for Human Resource Development through International Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration". It will include a keynote speech by Mr. Satoshi Nagata of NTT DoCoMo, Inc., an internationally active researcher focusing on next-generation communication technologies, an introduction of activities of international programs implemented through inter-university cooperation, and an introduction of endowed courses that private companies can utilize and their case reports. The contents of the symposium will be of interest to both university and business professionals and be an opportunity for participants to collaborate with each other.

This symposium is open to anyone who is considering joining the consortium or is interested in its activities, even if you are not a member of the consortium. We would appreciate it if you could inform those who are interested in engineering universities in Japan and abroad, international industry-academia-government collaboration.

The event will be a hybrid of face-to-face and online sessions, to be held at Shibaura Institute of Technology's Toyosu Campus and via ZOOM webinar. We hope that those who are unable to attend in person will be able to attend online, and those who have time will be able to come to the venue to deepen the friendship among the participants.
