Report on the GTI Consortium Symposium 2022!

On Friday, December 9, 2022, "Subsidized by the Nakajima Foundation, TIEC International Symposium 2022, GTI Consortium Symposium 2022 - International Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration for Human Resource Development -" was held both on-site and online.

Outline

In the Keynote Address, Mr. Yohei Harada, Professor, Center for Promotion of Educational Innovation, Shibaura Institute of Technology, introduced the characteristics of Generation Z, the target of the GTI Consortium's human resource development efforts, by presentating "Public Relations Strategies for “Z generation”".

Then, as the Special Speech, Mr. Satoru Araune, Project Director, Tobitate! (Leap for Tomorrow) Study Abroad Initiative, gave a special lecture on the results and new stage of the program, as "Tobitate! Study abroad Initiative achievement and next stage".

In addition, there were the report on case studies of industry-academia-government collaboration efforts by Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology(MJIIT), to achieve the SDGs, and the report on a global PBL program that worked to solve social issues through industry-academia-government collaboration.

The session concluded with a panel discussion among the four overseas universities and insutitutes that are members of the GTI Consortium.

In the pandemic situation of the Covid19, the information and opinions were exchanged on each university's and institutes's attitude toward education and collaborative research, as well as risk management efforts at the panel discussion.
